Your moment of bliss details...

Restore your body's natural lymph flow and bring your body back into balance. The lymphatic system plays a key role in eliminating toxins from the body through a liquid known as lymph. Lymph is usually absorbed more quickly than it can be eliminated, which can result in the accumulation of fluids between the cells and tissues resulting in retention and swelling. The purpose of lymph drainage is to remove fluid from your tissues and into the lymph nodes where bacteria, viruses and other harmful micro-organisms are destroyed. It reduces swelling, pain and stimulates your immune system by increasing the circulation of white blood cells. What is lymph? Lymph is a fluid that contains a variety of substances. White blood cells, waste material and fats from the digestive system, proteins, salts, glucose, water and interstitial fluid but unlike your blood, lymph does not usually contain red blood cells. Lymph fluid cleans the body, fighting illness and regulating many processes. The lymph system is connected through silk-fine threads that rest just under the surface of the skin, this is the reason we use a feather light touch during this treatment. Benefits This treatment is often recommended after surgery and assists in the regeneration of cellular tissues to reduce scarring, swelling and encourages detoxification of the body. Please contact your GP to make sure you are suitable for this treatment after surgery. Lymphatic drainage massage is considered an effective non-invasive treatment for eliminating excess body fats, re-contouring the body and reducing the appearance of cellulite. It also helps boost metabolism, improves the elasticity of skin and reduces bloating, puffiness and water retention. (Any swelling of the body, except for cardiac or renal edema can be treated with lymphatic drainage) It also gives the immune system a boost by increasing the production of antibodies that fight off infections as well as reduce systemic inflammation. Before treatment Avoid eating an hour before. Reduce your sugar and salt intake. After treatment - Your body is in a high state of toxicity for a few days. It's important to, Wear loose clothing. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours. Reduce sugar and salt intake. Reduce caffeine and sugary drinks. Increase your water intake for the next few days. 5-12 sessions of Brazilian Lymphatic massage are recommended until the fluid retention and swelling has resolved or until the desired result has been achieved.
